Calling all curious explorers! During Bug in the Barnyard, campers will dive into the fascinating world of insects and small creatures found around the farm. Through hands-on activities, outdoor exploration, crafts, and interactive learning, kids will discover how bugs live, work, and play an important role in the barnyard ecosystem. Expect lots of investigating, observing, and creative projects to take home.

Meet your Camp Leaders!
Meet Tia Hellman and Julie Pulley, your dedicated camp leaders at Little Farmers Summer Camp! With a combined passion for education and a love for letting kids be kids, we’re thrilled to guide your children through a week of fun and learning on the farm. Tia, the youngest of the Thomasson kids and a proud Enumclaw local, brings her firsthand experience of farm life, being an elementary teacher for ten years and parenting three children aged 4, 7, and 10. Meanwhile, Julie, currently teaching third grade at Rock Creek Elementary, shares her expertise and enthusiasm for teaching alongside raising her two teenagers aged 17 and 19. As certified elementary school teachers and longtime friends, we’re excited to create a nurturing and engaging environment where children can explore, discover and grow!
Camp T-shirt
Every camper will receive a camp t-shirt! It is encouraged, but not required, to wear your shirt to camp. We will collect shirt size shortly after registration. So be on the lookout for an email from Thomasson Family Farm!
Once Registered:
After you have registered and paid your fee, you officially have a camp spot! Be on the lookout for an email from Thomasson Family Farm with a questionnaire. We want to know all about your camper! This includes emergency contact information, allergies, shirt size and any important information that we need to know to keep your camper safe and happy!
FAQs
Can I stay with my camper?
No, this is a drop-off program. We are not open to the public during camp and want to make sure our grounds are secure for our campers. It’s a great opportunity for students to gain a little independence and make new friends. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before drop-off and pick-up so we can start and end camp on time.
How many children attend each camp?
50 kids are allowed to attend each session. There will be two certificated educators as leaders, Tia and Julie. There will also be volunteers to help as needed.
Will my child be outside the whole time?
We do have an open air barn that provides shade, but most activities will be outside.
Are snacks/meals provided?
Meals are not provided, however a small snack will be. Typically, pretzels or crackers with a water break. At registration be sure to note any food allergies your camper may have. Please send your kid to camp with a full belly, there will be lots of learning and playing involved!
What kind of equipment/clothing must my child bring?
Please dress your camper for the weather! If it is going to be sunny send your camper in light active clothes and applied sunscreen. If it is going to be rainy, dress your camper in rain gear and boots! We will be outside having fun no matter the weather!
What if my plans change and I need to un-enroll my child from camp?
You have until a week before camp starts (June 22nd & 29th respectively) to get a full refund. Please reach out to Tia at Tia@thomassonfamilyfarm.com for any refund inquiries.
Is there a waitlist for camps that are full?
We will have a wait list available if it is full. Once camp is full you can email Tia@thomassonfamilyfarm.com to be put on the waitlist. Please specify which week you are interested in.
What if it’s raining?
We will still have fun! No matter the weather we will be having camp, so please dress accordingly. We do have a large open air barn that provides shelter and shade so we can continue learning and playing!
Does my camper need to bring anything?
We will have all supplies ready for our campers! We encourage you to send a water bottle with their name clearly written on it. Pack your smiles and be ready to have some farm fun!
If you have any additional questions or inquiries please feel free to contact camp leader Tia Hellman at Tia@thomassonfamilyfarm.com
